West Shore RCMP is currently investigating after receiving a report of a break and enter at an industrial compound in Langford.

The Island Crushing Ltd. lot, located in the 2100-block of Millstream Rd in Langford, was broken into on January 6 and a series of tools and equipment were stolen, according to West Shore RCMP.

Police were notified of the incident and launched an investigation, determining that a suspect used an on-site bobcat to damage a gate and load a welding machine into a vehicle.

Since then, the West Shore RCMP Crime Reduction Unit has obtained video surveillance from a nearby business that captured the suspect vehicle and male suspect.

The man, pictured below, can be leaning out a truck window at the drive-thru of a nearby business following the incident.

“We are asking anyone with information about this suspect and the incident to come forward and speak with our investigators,” says Cst. Alex Bérubé, spokesperson for West Shore RCMP.

Anyone with information can contact West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264 or anonymously contact Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
