Police seek suspect after assault in Langford grocery store

The West Shore RCMP are looking to identify a man who is suspected of punching another man at a Langford grocery store last week.

Police say the assault occurred around 5:40 p.m. on July 30 at the Real Canadian Superstore located at 835 Langford Pkwy.

Mounties say the suspect punched another man several times while in the produce department of the grocery store.

The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the attack, according to RCMP, and is expected to recover.

Police say the victim and the suspect are not known to each other.

The suspect is described as a white man who is approximately 35 years old who has a tattoo of a bird on the right side of his neck. He was wearing a dark-coloured T-shirt, black pants and black runners with white stripes at the time.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the West Shore RCMP. Police also ask anyone who sees the suspect to not approach him and to call police at 250-474-2264.
