Police seek man who stole poppy donation box in Saanich

Saanich police are on the lookout for a man who reportedly stole a Canadian Legion Remembrance Day Poppy Box with all its donations inside.

The theft occurred on Nov. 12 at the Tim Hortons in Royal Oak Shopping Centre.

Surveillance cameras in the restaurant captured photos of the suspect, who appears to be an older white man with a white beard and thin build.

He was wearing dark pants, black shoes, a dark-coloured jacket with blue stripes, and a black toque with a white pattern on the top at the time.
