Police search for man who allegedly grabbed woman in Gordon Head

Police said a woman was allegedly grabbed by an unknown man on a side street near Shelbourne Street and Feltham Road. (Google Street View).

Saanich police are looking for a man who allegedly assaulted a woman while she was walking home from a bus stop in the Gordon Head neighbourhood.

According to police, at around 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 25, a 21-year-old woman was walking on a side street near Shelbourne Street and Feltham Road when an unknown man approached her from behind.

Police said the man ran up to the woman, put her in a bear hug and grabbed her breasts.

The alleged assault lasted a few seconds. According to police, before the woman was able to do anything, the man ran away. He was last seen running toward Shelbourne Street.

Police said the woman was only able to provide a limited description of the man. He is described as possibly Asian, approximately 5’3″ tall, and had dark hair with golden tips, which had a golden brown appearance. According to police, the suspect was wearing a dark jacket and carrying a black backpack.
