West Shore RCMP are investigating after a 10-month-old Labrador puppy named Ozzy was shot 12 times by a pellet gun in Highlands.
The owners found the dog injured and contacted police. They took Ozzy to a veterinarian who confirmed the animal was shot at least 12 times.
“This attack not only left the puppy injured, but shook a whole community for this senseless act,” Cst. John Varley of West Shore RCMP said in a statement.
“Luckily, Ozzy is doing well now.”
