The Parksville Fire Department and Oceanside RCMP are investigating an early-morning fire in Parksville.
The fire department and police were called to the fire at 585 Martindale Road just after 4 a.m. Police said all occupants got out of the home safely but the house is extensively damaged and is expected to be a total loss.

RCMP and the fire department said they have determined that the fire is suspicious. The investigation into the blaze is ongoing.
