Update: Police say they have identified the people in the photos.

Nanaimo RCMP have taken to social media in an attempt to find the owner of wedding and birthday photos that were found on a smashed camera.

Police said on March 4, a resident on Turner Road in Nanaimo called RCMP and said they had found a smashed camera in their garbage bin. The person who called police said the camera did not belong to them.

Police managed to recover several pictures from the camera card. Some of the photos are from the wedding of “Jason and Jennifer” and “Ryker’s 2nd Birthday”

“Our investigators believe the wedding took place in September of 2013 in Ucluelet, located on the west coast of Vancouver Island, however, they have been unable to locate the parties involved,” Nanaimo Const. Gary O’Brien said in a release.

Anyone who knows who the people in the photos are can call Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345.
