UPDATE: Police confirm the body found Sunday in the area of McNeill Bay is that of missing Oak Bay man Ronald Merner.
The 56-year old was last seen leaving his home on April 20th and was reported missing the next day.
Police say someone walking on the shore reported seeing the body in the water around 5:45pm Sunday.
Foul play is not suspected.
The BC Coroner’s Service continues to investigate.
