A union at Victoria Shipyards says phase one of job action will start on Monday.
Robert Taylor with Boilermakers Lodge 191 says the mediator’s 48-hour timeline was exhausted Saturday morning and has since left the parties.
In an effort to get the employer to come back to the table, the union will move to phase one of job action at 12 a.m. on Monday morning.
Taylor did not provide details of what the job action will entail and says when he gets advice from his legal counsel he will provide more details.
This story will be updated when details become available.
