A person suffered life-threatening injuries after they were struck by a vehicle Friday evening near Gorge Road and Harriet Street,

A person suffered life-threatening injuries after they were struck by a vehicle Friday evening.

The incident happened right on the border of Saanich and Victoria, near the intersection of Gorge Road and Harriet Street, just after 5:30 p.m.

Officers from the Victoria Police Department’s Integrated Road Safety Unit and the Saanich Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit responded and were on scene for several hours, resulting in Gorge Road being closed.

Victoria PD said in a press release that anyone who may have witnessed the incident and have not yet spoken to officers should contact their non-emergency line at 250-995-7654.
