Central Saanich Police investigate after a pedestrian was struck on the Pat Bay Highway Wednesday night.
Central Saanich Police closed a section of the southbound lane of Highway 17 Wednesday night after reporting a pedestrian had been struck.
There are no details on the severity of the incident, but one witness said on social media the pedestrian appeared responsive to paramedics.

Police reported the incident just after 9:30, saying the southbound lanes were closed between Island View Road and Tanner Road.
Police asked drivers to use West Saanich Road as a detour.
