The crash occurred at the intersection of Jutland Road and Cecelia Road around 6:35 a.m.

Police say the pedestrian is believed to have been walking across the road at a marked crosswalk when they were struck by a vehicle.

“The driver of the vehicle did not stop and was last seen driving southbound on Jutland Road,” said VicPD in a release Wednesday.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police say.

Investigators are now asking anyone who witnessed the event, or who may have dashcam video of the area, to call the E-Comm Report Desk at (250) 995-7654 extension 1.
