Pacific Football Club announced it has exercised the contract options on defender Lukas MacNaughton and goalkeeper Nolan Wirth through the 2020 season.

“We see Nolan and Lukas as being a huge part of this club, so hopefully they come into the second year and are even better than the first year,” said Pa-Modou Kah, Pacific FC Head Coach. “I’ve been looking forward to working with them and creating good relationships.”

MacNaughton, 24, was featured 22 times for the Island side across all competitions. The Belgian-born centre-back scored twice for Pacific FC in the Canadian Premier League regular season. Canadian by virtue of his mother, MacNaughton returns to strengthen the backline standing at 6’2″ inches.

Wirth, 24, featured 13 times for Pacific FC across all competitions. The Comox native made his league debut in a 3-1 win over a strong Cavalry FC side. Following an impressive fall season, Wirth will return between the pipes as Pacific FC’s starting ‘keeper in the 2020 CPL season.

“We’re happy to have both Nolan and Lukas back for 2020,” said Rob Friend, CEO Pacific FC, “They are both integral pieces of the team, and we are excited to see what they can do this season.”
