Police have released this photo of a suspect after a TD bank was robbed in Nanaimo on Feb. 17.

Police are searching for one suspect after a bank robbery in Nanaimo on Saturday.

According to Nanaimo RCMP, at around 3:40 p.m., a man entered the TD Canada Trust bank at the Terminal Park Shopping Centre. Police said he did not produce a weapon but did indicate he had a gun in his pocket.

The suspect fled on foot after he received an undisclosed amount of cash.

He was last seen heading south through the mall parking lot.

The suspect is described by police as a white man in his 40s, 5’10,” and heavy set with a deep voice. He has dark hair, a goatee and a moustache. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a brown jacket, dark gloves and a dark hat with a white logo on the brim. Nanaimo RCMP have released an image of the man from surveillance footage.
