
Emergency crews responded to a structure fire in Victoria Wednesday night, where one person suffered injuries for burns.

Victoria Police said they were called around 8:40 p.m. to assist Victoria Fire in the 500-block of Ellice Street.
Patrol officers are assisting @VictoriaFire730 who are responding to a major fire in the 500-block of Ellice Street. Multiple streets are closed in the area. Please avoid the area. #yyjtraffic #yyj

An official with the City of Victoria said the fire was at a structure used for sheltering, but it has been put out.
The injured individual was treated at the scene.
It’s not known what started the fire.
