One person died in a fire in a Nanoose Bay home on March 29, 2023.
One person was found deceased inside a Nanoose Bay home that had caught fire on Wednesday morning.
On March 29 around 5 a.m., the fire department and Oceanside RCMP were called to a house fire in the 2200 block of Northwest Bay Road.
When first responders arrived, they were informed someone may still be inside the fully engulfed house.
When the fire was extinguished, a person was found deceased inside.
Criminality has been ruled out as a cause of the fire, but the exact cause is under investigation by the Office of the Fire Commissioner and the BC Coroners Service.
