A 22-year-old was allegedly impaired while driving along Foul Bay Road earlier this month, police say.

The Oak Bay Police Department says officers received a report of a potentially impaired motorist driving northbound along Foul Bay Road, near Crescent Road, on May 1.

Officers on foot patrol in the area managed to flag the vehicle down and conducted an investigation, where they determined that the motorist had been drinking and was indeed impaired. They also determined the motorist didn’t even have insurance, the department says.

As a result, the 22-year-old male motorist was issued a three-day driving ban as well as a ticket for driving without insurance and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.
