Police are looking for a suspect after $40 worth of ice cream was taken from a 7-11 in Nanaimo.
Nanaimo RCMP spokesman Const. Gary O’Brien said the theft occurred Wednesday at 7:45 a.m. at the 7-11 on Nicol Street.
According to O’Brien, the suspect allegedly went into the business, grabbed tubs of ice cream and then filled up a red Budweiser cooler bag with them. The suspect then took off on foot.
The suspect is described by police as a man wearing a grey t-shirt and dark pants.
Police said the value of the stolen ice cream was $40. Anyone who has information on the suspect’s whereabouts is asked to call Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
