No snow: Mount Washington's opening day delayed

Mount Washington’s slopes were set to open Friday, December 6th, but following one of the driest November’s on record, there’s just no snow.

The hill is waiting with hope for the classic storm cycle to roll through, but old man winter hasn’t made an appearance, yet.

“We’re forced to delay the start of the winter 2019/20 season. We’re ready and waiting as patiently as possible, and we know you are too,” the ski hill said in a statement on their website.

In place of the natural fluffy stuff, Mount Washington has been busy producing man-made snow. They’ll have enough to start Free Discovery Days Monday, December 9th for skiers or boarders looking to get into the game

And they’re hopeful, opening day could be just around the corner.

“One big storm can change everything,” said Mount Washington on their website.

You can watch and hope for snow, here.
