West Shore RCMP say a man who was “waving around a knife” in View Royal was arrested and no one was injured in the incident.

On March 25, police were called to the area behind Four Mile Liquor Store at 01-1505 Admirals Way in View Royal.

Witnesses reported seeing the man waving around a knife and sticking it in the air, while appearing to be under the influence of drugs. Police were able to find and arrest the man for possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

When police searched the man, they found and seized a large knife with an approximately nine-inch long blade, a replica handgun, and a small amount of what is suspected to be crack cocaine.
