Brianna Lozano was found dead along Victoria's Dallas Road March 3, 2021.

Nearly a year after a 46-year-old mother was found dead along Dallas Road, major crime investigators say they believe some people with information about her death have yet to come forward.

Bree Lozano, also known as Bree Gamble, was found dead on the south side of Beacon Hill Park just after 6 a.m. March 3, 2021.

After police confirmed her death was a homicide, the Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit (VIIMCU) assumed conduct of the investigation.

The last visible sign of the investigation was on March 25, 2021, when police raided a home in the Fort Street and Foul Bay Road area. While a man could be seen in handcuffs at the scene, police have never confirmed any arrests or charges in relation to Lozano’s homicide.

But police say they’re still looking to speak with some people with information that could help the investigation who have yet to come forward.

“Investigators have spoken with several people in relation to this investigation. However, we believe there are additional people with information who have yet to come forward and speak with police,” VIIMCU said in an update on Monday.

Police say there’s no indication that there is a risk to public safety despite Lozano’s killer not being arrested.

“Investigators continue to assess the risk to the public as the investigation continues,” they said.

Anyone with information on her death is asked to call the VIIMCU information line at 250-380-6211.
