NBA suspending season, update from NHL expected Thursday
FOX SPORTS OKLAHOMA
Utah Jazz players leave the court prior to their game with the Oklahoma City Thunder, which was postponed Wednesday night.

The NBA is suspending its season after Wednesday night’s games until further notice because of the coronavirus concerns.

The NBA announced that a player on the Utah Jazz has preliminarily tested positive for COVID-19.

The test result was reported shortly prior to the tip-off of tonight’s game between the Jazz and Thunder in Oklahoma City and the game was postponed.

The National Hockey League says it is aware of the NBA’s decision to indefinitely suspend its season due to a player testing positive for the coronavirus.

The NHL says it is continuing to consult with medical experts, evaluating the options and expects to have a further update tomorrow.
