Update: The missing woman has been found “safe and sound,” according to Nanaimo RCMP.

Original story follows.

Nanaimo Mounties are hoping the public can help them locate a missing 31-year-old woman.

She was reported missing by her family on June 5.

According to a Nanaimo RCMP press release issued Monday, she hasn’t had contact with anyone in her family since last summer, except for one time in April of this year, when she sent the family a photo of herself getting onboard a BC Ferries vessel.

Police say that action, followed by weeks of no further communication, left the family extremely worried and prompted the missing person report.

Const. Gary O’Brien, media spokesperson with the Nanaimo RCMP, said the family is very concerned for her safety and well-being.

Anyone with information regarding Scott’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345 and quote file #2021-20483.
