Nanaimo RCMP has released these CCTV images of an alleged shoplifter.

Mounties in Nanaimo are asking the public for help identifying a man who allegedly stole hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise from local stores last week.

It’s alleged that on Friday, March 15, the man stole about $350 to $400 worth of meat products from Thrifty Foods on Turner Road. Later that day, he allegedly stole a steam press worth $100 from the London Drugs at Port Place Mall.

Nanaimo RCMP released CCTV images of the man at the two locations, and it’s noted that he was wearing the same clothing in both incidents.

He’s described as a Caucasian man standing 5’9″ with a medium build, brown hair and a beard. He was wearing dark sunglasses, a dark baseball cap and a sweat shirt saying “Hustle Wear” on the front and “Self Employed” on the back.

Anyone with information on the identity of the man is asked to call the Nanaimo RCMP’s non-emergency line at 250-754-2345.

Last December, Nanaimo RCMP said a man stole from another Nanaimo-area London Drugs twice in one hour.
