Mounties in Nanaimo are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing woman.

Police are searching for 45-year-old Devon Marrello, who was last seen on Friday, Aug. 11.

“Police were advised that Marrello discharged herself prematurely from the Nanaimo hospital and as a result there is significant concern for her safety and well-being,” said the Nanaimo RCMP in a release Wednesday.

Mounties say they’ve searched the Nanaimo area, as well as the Oceanside region where Marrello is originally from, but have been unable to locate her.

She is described as a white woman who stands 5’10” and weighs approximately 150 pounds. She has brown eyes, long brown hair and was last seen wearing a dark blue shirt, sandals and dark pants.

Anyone with information on Marrello’s whereabouts is asked to call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345.
