Missing 79-year old found safe: Nanaimo RCMP

Nanaimo RCMP say the 79-year-old man who was reported missing on Aug. 3 has been found safe.

Nanaimo RCMP are asking people to keep an eye out for missing 79-year-old, who has not been heard from since July 25.

He left to go camping in his white Dodge camper van with BC plate MN743L.

He told his family he was going to go to Campbell River, Gold River, and then go to Port Hardy.

His family says he is normally gone for around four or five days and he has never been gone this long, and they are extremely worried for his safety and well-being.

He does not have a cell phone and is travelling with his tan and black colored dog Rhodesian Ridgeback dog.

He enjoys hiking with his dogs, and tends to avoid crowds and campgrounds.
