Shawna Forbes, 43, was reported missing on April 3, according to Nanaimo RCMP.

Nanaimo RCMP is asking for help from the public to locate Shawna Forbes, a 43-year-old woman reported missing by her family on April 3.

Those familiar with Forbes alerted police that something was wrong when she didn’t collect a crucial prescription last month.

Since then, no one has been able to contact her, and her family and support network are worried for her safety, according to RCMP.

Forbes has been living between various tent encampments around the city for several months and has no fixed address. Authorities say they’ve already searched these areas as well as local shelters but haven’t been able to find her.

Forbes is described as standing around 5’6″ and weighing 130 pounds with long blonde hair and hazel eyes.

Her family believes she might be with Aaron Payne, an acquaintance whose photo is below.
