Local musician Michael Kaeshammer is bringing the worlds of music and food together for a new CHEK show called Kaeshammer’s Kitchen, proudly sponsored by The Victoria Foundation.

The singer and pianist will be meeting with other local artists, like inaugural guest Randy Bachman – best known for the Guess Who and Bachman Turner Overdrive – to make delicious meals before taking to the stage for a shared musical performance.

The 30-minute show premiers on Sept. 9 at 6:30 p.m. just after Cookin’ on the Coast to make for a local cooking hour unlike anything else on the Island.

In the first episode of Kaeshammer’s Kitchen, Kaeshammer and Bachman will be making a recipe called Fettucine Bolognese Magnfico before rocking a joint performance of “Takin’ Care of Business.”

Other musical guests are stacked with Juno awards, including BC Entertainment Hall of Fame inductee Dee Daniels, multiple Juno Award winner Andy Kim, Juno award winner Marc Jordan, three-time Juno award winner Jim Byrnes, and lead vocalist for Santana, Curtis Salgado.

The Upside Guys also joined Kaeshammer earlier this week to jam ahead of the show’s premier next month.
