Some good news for winter outdoor enthusiasts who have waited for longer than expected to hit the slopes at Mount Washington Alpine Resort.
Snow has been falling this week, with an estimated eight centimetres of fresh powder on the mountain Wednesday night.
Runs on the resort were scheduled to open December 6, but that has been postponed because of a lack of snow.
Relief @MountWashington is spelled S-N-O-W. From green slopes to a winter wonderland in the bat of an eyelash. 20cm forecast in the next 24 hrs. They'll need a lot more before they can open but it's looking good. @CHEK_News https://t.co/1tUszQejLK pic.twitter.com/Y3nOCPBw2c
