WATCH: One person is in hospital after an early-morning motorcycle crash in Victoria. It happened on Gorge Road near Jutland, causing a stretch of road to be closed for hours. Calvin To has more.
Victoria police say a person riding a motorcycle involved in a crash Wednesday morning has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Authorities first reported the collision in the 200-block of Gorge Road East just before 6:30 a.m.
Police initially said the rider had succumbed to injuries but half-hour later, police indicated the rider survived the crash. However they remain in hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The incident closed Gorge Road between Washington Avenue and Jutland Road. At 10:48 a.m., police said the road had reopened but the investigation into the collision continues.
