BC Hydro reports that more 4000 customers in Campbell River and in the Sayward area are in the dark on Friday night.
The outage in Campbell River was reported at 9:22 pm and sees 3379 customers without electricity. The cause is under investigation.
BC Hydro says it impacts an area south of 9th Avenue.
The outage in the Sayward area was reported at 9:28 p.m. and affects 661 customers. The cause is also under investigation.
BC Hydro says it covers an area south of Highway 19 and North-East-West of the Island Highway.
