Missing Surrey man last seen in Courtenay found dead in the Comox Valley

Comox Valley RCMP have found the body of a 58-year-old Surrey man who had been reported missing on April 2nd.

Stephen Mapes had last been see in Courtenay on March 27th.

He had been reported missing to Surrey RCMP, but Comox Valley RCMP took over the investigation.

Police say his death is not considered suspicious.
