The search for a senior reported missing last week in Nanaimo has come to a tragic end, according to RCMP.
Mounties say the body of 87-year-old Ivan Lambert was located on Saturday, March 23, on a rural road south of Nanaimo. His vehicle, a Toyota Camry, was also found.
Lambert was last seen in Nanaimo on March 17. He was reported missing on March 19, when his family told police they were concerned for his well-being, partly because of his age.
“Foul play is not suspected, and the investigation is being led by the BC Coroners Service,” said RCMP in a news release Monday.
