Minor earthquake detected west of Port Hardy, B.C.

A 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck 198 kilometres west of Port Hardy late Friday morning.

Earthquakes Canada said the quake struck at 11:05 PT and was 10 kilometres deep.

No tsunami advisory has been issued and there are no reports that anyone felt the quake.
