Storied Paralympian and Liberal Parksville-Qualicum MLA Michelle Stilwell announced her retirement last night from Paralympic competition.

Stilwell began her Paralympic journey back in the 2000 Games in Sydney.
The Winnipeg native captured six career gold medals including two at the recent 2016 Rio Games.
She is also among just two female athletes to win multiple Paralympic gold medals in two different sports (Wheelchair Basketball and Athletics).
The 42-year-old says she’s looking forward to conquering new goals.
