Family members mourn loved ones lost in the Harvest country music festival mass shooting. Survivors and relatives of 58 people who were killed on Oct. 1, 2017, have reached a settlement of at least $735 million US with MGM Resorts.

Two years after a gunman opened fire on country music fans from a high-rise Las Vegas hotel, MGM Resorts International has reached a settlement that could pay up to $800 million in compensation.

The money will go to families of the 58 who died and hundreds who were injured.

Four of those killed were Canadians.

In lawsuits, they alleged the casino giant failed to protect 22,000 people at a concert venue it owns or stop the shooter from spending several days amassing an arsenal in his suite at the Mandalay Bay resort.
