While she doesn’t want you to necessarily notice her work, Cindy Van Volsem with the Royal B.C. Museum hopes her efforts make the main attractions pop.  The experienced Exhibit Fabrication Specialist has earned the privilege of becoming a ‘mount maker’.  She and her team design and build support structures for priceless items.  The museum team must balance between invisibility and supportive.

You can see Van Volsem’s work in Dinosaurs of B.C., on until January 2024, at the Royal BC Museum.
