McDonald torches former team again, Royals top Cougars

CHEK

WATCH: It’s becoming a theme; Kody McDonald getting the better of the Prince George Cougars. The trend didn’t stop Friday night, as McDonald scored two goals and added an assist in a 4-3 win over the Cougars at the Save On Foods Memorial Centre.

The Cougars had it out for McDonald, who scored a pair of goals in their previous encounter in Prince George along with the shootout winner before “planting the Royals flag” at the centre ice logo.

The Cougars definitely kept that in their memory, as they attempted to get at McDonald every chance they got. McDonald didn’t let the heat get to him, coming up clutch for the Royals to help Victoria beat the Cougars for the fourth straight time.

The Royals and Cougars wrap up their weekend series on Saturday night at the Save On Foods Memorial Centre.
