Mayfair Shopping Centre in Victoria is promising four days of rides, treats and games for the whole family when its Spring Fair returns this Thursday.
The fair, happening April 27-30, will envelop the mall’s parking lot at the corner of Finlayson and Blanshard streets, where West Coast Amusements will set up various rides — including kiddie land, major and spectacular rides — to accommodate thrill seekers of all ages.
Speaking with CHEK News last year, West Coast Amusements’ Jimmy Yaremy was excited for the event to return to B.C.’s capital.
“We have the gondola wheel here, we have the zipper, the carousel, bumper cars and a good mix of rides,” Yaremy said back in April 2022. “Hog rally is a new ride. Little kids can go with their mom in the sidecar of these little motorcycles.”
The fair will operate on Thursday and Friday from 3-10 p.m., while hours are cut back on Saturday and Sunday from 12-10 p.m. and 12-6 p.m., respectively.
“We look forward to seeing you there,” wrote Mayfair Mall in an Instagram post promoting the event earlier this month.
Pre-sale unlimited ride wristbands, available until 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, cost $35, while regular-price bands are $45. People can buy passes online here.
West Coast Amusements is wrapping up at Cowichan Spring Fair, which ran from April 20-23, after visiting Campbell River’s fair the week prior. Following Mayfair, they’ll be at Nanaimo’s Woodgrove Centre from May 4-7.
