A “massive” marine garage sale is coming to Victoria once again.

The Maritime Museum of BC announced Wednesday that the 18th Massive Marine Garage Sale will take place on April 2 from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Pier A at the Breakwater District at Ogden Point on Dallas Road.

The event, which is a fundraiser for the museum and is sponsored and supported by the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority and CFB Esquimalt, features dozens vendors from across Vancouver Island.

There will also be coffee, hot chocolate, and pastries available for purchase by donation, and a hot dog vendor will be onsite. A 50/50 raffle with two draws will also be held.

“Buyers can expect anything and everything in, around, outside, or related to boats,” Anya Baker, the museum’s events and development coordinator, said in a release, adding. “We can’t wait to see everyone.”

Money raised from the event helps the museum fund operations and allows the museum to continue operating its school and public programs.

The annual marine garage sale is typically held each spring, but last year it took place in the fall after planned spring events in 2020 and 2021 were cancelled due to the pandemic.

General admission is $5, early bird admission (8:40 a.m.) is $10 and children under 12 are free.
