The replica handgun Victoria police say they retrieved after arresting a wanted man.
Police arrested a man believed to be armed with a handgun in downtown Victoria Tuesday afternoon.
The man was spotted making his way into downtown Victoria just before 2 p.m. When officers located him near Centennial Square, the man attempted to flee but was captured by officers.
During the arrest, police said he dropped a handgun, which was later determined to be a replica.
The man was taken into custody. There were no injuries.
Police say the investigation into the file continues.
