The family of the 23-year-old found after being trapped for days inside a vehicle after a crash near Sayward say he faces a long road to recovery.
Duncan Moffat was spotted by a hunter on Tuesday afternoon and rescued after spending an estimated 5 days surviving on an old crate of apples left in the truck.
His family now says he suffered several severe injuries including a broken back, leg and collarbone, broken ribs, and a number of injuries to his internal organs.
Moffat remains in the Intensive Care Unit at Victoria General Hospital and is expected to remain there for several more days.
The family has set up a Gofundme page to help with his recovery program including physiotherapy, counselling, recovery equipment, and more.
