Comox Valley RCMP say one man was sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a shooting in Courtenay.
Police received a report of the shooting in the 4600 block of Island Highway at 12:49 a.m. The man was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators say this does not appear to be a random act and police are trying to find the person or people responsible.
The investigation is in its early stages. Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time of the incident is asked to call Comox Valley RCMP at 250-338-1321.
