Caleb Gerbrandt is believed to have travelled to Vancouver Island or the Lower Mainland with his two daughters.

A Salmon Arm man facing child sex charges who went missing along with his two daughters could be heading to Vancouver Island or the Lower Mainland, RCMP said Tuesday.

Caleb Gerbrandt and his daughters Eliyah and Avery went missing from his Salmon Arm home on Jan. 21, police said in a news release.

Gerbrandt was recently charged with sexual interference and sexual assault on a minor.

Both of his daughters were supposed to be staying at their grandparents’ home in Salmon Arm.

Police have not been able to make contact with Gerbrandt or his daughters and believe he is actively evading police.

Investigators note that Gerbrandt is in breach of a condition to abide by a curfew and remain in his Salmon Arm home every night, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

He and his daughters are believed to be traveling in a 2006 Grey Dodge Grand Caravan with B.C. licence plate NE9 61N “and may possibly be heading to the Vancouver or Vancouver Island area,” RCMP said.
