A man has died after a trailer in Cobble Hill caught fire on Thursday night.
Mill Bay firefighters and Shawnigan Lake RCMP were called to the fire in the 3700-block of Kingbourne Drive, at around 10:30 p.m.
Police said upon arrival, emergency crews found the trailer was fully engulfed with a man still inside the residence.
The RCMP Forensic Identification Section, RCMP Island District General Investigation Section, a fire investigator and the BC Coroners Service are still investigating the cause of the fire. Police said it is too early in the investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
Foul play is not suspected. The man’s name and age have not been released.
