The Oceanside RCMP say a man has been arrested after another man and a woman were stabbed in Parksville earlier this week.

Mounties say they were called to the 300-block of Island Highway West around 11:30 p.m. on Monday for a report of a stabbing.

When officers arrived, they discovered a man and a woman had stabbing injuries.

The two victims were taken to hospital, as well as the suspect, 23-year-old Nicholas Morrison-Dault, who was “immediately arrested at the scene,” according to RCMP.

All three people have since been released from hospital, though Morrison-Dault remains in custody and has been charged with one count of aggravated assault, police said Thursday.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone who witnessed the incident and has not yet spoken with investigators is asked to contact the Oceanside RCMP at 250-248-6111 and quote file # 2023-9264.
