Comox Valley RCMP say a man arrested following a report of indecent exposure is believed to be connected to two similar incidents.

On Aug. 12, RCMP received two reports that a man riding a bicycle allegedly exposed himself to women and masturbated in front of them.

The first report took place around 11:30 a.m. in Idiens Park near Idiens Way.

The second report involved two female youths walking on a path parallel to Sheraton Road at Cummings Road.

In both instances, the suspect was described as a tall, slender, fair-skinned Caucasian male in his 20s, with brown wavy hair and red facial hair, riding a dark-coloured bicycle.

On Aug. 14, RCMP received a third report just after midnight that a woman near the intersection of Anderton Road at Guthrie Road was being followed by a man who was allegedly exposing himself.

In this incident, police were able to contain the area and locate the man with the assistance of a police dog.

The man was arrested, and he matched the description in the first two incidents, and investigators believe that he committed all three offences.

Comox Valley RCMP is requesting anyone with video surveillance from residences situated along the pathways to contact the Comox Valley RCMP Major Crime Unit at 250-338-1321.
