Drivers heading south on the Malahat are no longer at a standstill.
According to Drive BC, the southbound lane of the Trans-Canada Highway through Goldstream Provincial Park between Finlayson Arm Road and West Shore Parkway was closed following a single-vehicle crash shortly before 1 p.m.
Witnesses told CHEK that a white pickup truck has collided with the side of the mountain, reducing the highway to a single lane.
A recent status update from DriveBC shows that the scene has been cleared and traffic is flowing normally.
Meanwhile, West Shore RCMP said in a post on social media that the driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
