RCMP in Nanaimo arrested a man who allegedly brandished a machete while kicking mailboxes on Wednesday afternoon.
Officers were seen with their guns drawn surrounding and arresting the man on Front Street in downtown Nanaimo.
The man, of no fixed address, was taken into custody without incident.
Police say the man is facing charges of mischief and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public.
