Cinnamon Lennox won $1 million in the Lotto 6/49 draw on Jan. 1, 2019. (BCLC).

A Sooke woman who won the $1 million prize in the Jan. 1 Lotto 6/49 draw plans to build a new home for her kids, her father and her cousin to all live in.

Cinnamon Lennox won after matching all 10 numbers in the Lotto 6/49 Guaranteed Prize Draw.

She wants to use the money to buy some land and build a house on it.

“It’s going to be a dream house,” Lennox said while accepting the prize. “There will definitely be a hot tub and a pool, and a nice view, of course.”

She also wants to immediately check off a couple of bucket list items.

“I’m going to buy a late model Corvette. I love those, but it doesn’t have to be new. We will stay in a nice hotel and then take the kids to Kobe Steak House so they can watch the chef prepare the food right in front of them. We will take it easy from there,” Lennox said.

Lennox bought the ticket at the Pharmasave on Sooke Road. She said she was at home when she checked the ticket, but her dad didn’t think she had won. So they went to the store and scanned it there.

“It really is an overwhelming blessing to be able to have security for your family,” she said.

“There will be less stress and a lot more enjoying life. It’s a huge change for us.”
